Tonight's special for Awanas was "Crazy Shoe Night."
Earlier this week, I thought it would be fun to let the girls paint their old Sunday shoes, but questioning K led me to the conclusion her shoes from last winter were gone.
However, I did some digging late yesterday and found them. So last night the girls picked spray paint colors and I painted their shoes.
Then, this evening, right before Awanas, we decorated their shoes with silk flowers, silk leis, gems and hot glue!!
Pretty cute!! Huh? I wouldn't mind walking this way!! :)

Oh! I miss the 'crazy' nights. Our AWANA program stops at middle school but was such a huge part of our younger years. Tell the girls I think they should consider wearing those shoes to church. They just might start a new fad. If nothing else they would bring smiles to a lot of faces and that is a wonderful thing...
